Miah Sanchezmoe

AKA Jeremiah Sanchez

Hey there! My name is Miah.

When people learn my name, it often leads to them breaking out in song, belting “Joy to
the World” by Three Dog Night. “Jeremiah was a bullfrog! Was a good friend of mine!” I
love it when life suddenly becomes a musical. And then “Jeremiah” always end up as
“Miah” — which my nieces and nephews love to inform me sounds like a girl’s name.
Rock on.
I write stories. Unusual stories. Stories across the landscape of genres. This life is not
limited to a single flavor or experience, and art, as they say, imitates. I write stories
ripped from the throes of this ghost-made-flesh experience we call life. Our shared
chaos is made up of laugh-out-loud moments, heart-stopping horrors, unexpected calls
to adventure, romantic rollercoaster rides, heartbreaks, mysteries, thrills, failures,
triumphs, and plot twists galore. Fiction and reality are but two sides of the same coin,
perpetually flipping through eternity.
From my science-fiction series, Parachute Minds, an odyssey for all ages exploring a
mystery from the farthest edge of the universe, MIDEVIL, a thick fantasy rife with
warfare, sacred sex, and angry gods for those with darker cravings to devour, to The A-
pickle-ypse
, a whimsical jaunt through a post-apocalyptic wasteland in search of a good
snack while everything’s falling apart — I might have something to entice you.
Above all, regardless of genre or world, I love complex and curious characters who
break free of the page and take on lives of their own. I often find myself surprised by
my own characters’ actions, wondering what they will do next as they become real and
write themselves.
Maybe a crime drama will show up in the future. A children’s book, perhaps? A tale of
unadulterated horror? A compendium of short stories? Why not? As my tattoos say, “If
not for the plot, do it for the lore.”
If it was up to me, I’d be reading to you around a fire while you kick back and lose
yourself in the stars.
Whatever your tastes, thank you for taking a chance on my writing. I hope it steals you
away to somewhere yet unexplored.
